Pete Dye turned this relatively flat, uninspiring piece of land into a solid collection of challenging golf holes. About 20 minutes from New Orleans, TPC Lousiana is the best public course near the city. As with most TPC courses, it is well-manicured throughout the year. The greens run true and have subtle contours that emphasize accurate approach shots. One of the more accessible courses used on the PGA Tour (Zurich Classic), TPC Lousiana won’t shock and awe, but it remains an excellent option for locals and visitors to the city.
TPC Louisiana is one of 16 courses that make up the Audubon Golf Trail. Through bayous and wetlands to live oaks and pine forests, the trail weaves its way through the state. From the Big Easy to Cajun Country, there’s no better nature walk in Lousiana, a Sportsmans Paradise.
