The Lowcountry.
The Ocean Course is a true American links course. Routed through tidal marshes and the ocean, the ferocity of the wind will determine just how difficult your round will be.
A truly unique, one-of-a-kind golf course; bunkers merge into sand dunes, and the greens are full of tricky slopes. Utilizing the knowledge of a caddy is crucial to scoring well. With harsh angles and elevated greens, you’ll want to stay in the fairway to avoid encountering snakes and alligators.
Situated along three miles of ocean coast, Alice Dye convinced her husband, Pete, to raise the fairways several feet, ensuring players had unobstructed views of the ocean. As a result, the closing holes are severely exposed to the wind, often leading to dramatic finishes.
Off the 18th green, the Ryder Cup bar is ideal for a post-round lunch and beer. Grab a rocking chair and enjoy the views out over the dunes to the ocean.
