A quintessential NJ icon, Summit Diner is the state’s oldest operating diner (e. 1929). Best recognized for its unique railroad car style, the restaurant does not offer a menu (only a board above the kitchen with a list of items). Padded booths and swivel stools overlook the open grill at this cash-only greasy spoon — no diner better represents New Jersey, the diner capital of the world.
